About Event

Dhanak is the Annual Cultural festival of Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology, Thiruvananthapuram, now entering the ninth glorious edition after resounding success of its predecessors since its inception in 2009.
'Dhanak' is another word for "rainbow", aptly encapsulating the essence— the singularity in a multitude of colours, passions, and people; the variety of cultures, talents, and ideas, inherently celebrated through their amalgamation in the form of music, dance, literature and visual arts.
Precisely as at twilight, when any rush is forgotten while promenading through the few feeble minutes of transience, wherein, the very act of living and being is a reward, and this rainbow, in that very moment, presents a stage. All these colours of joy, splendour, excitement, dedication and passion affirm this, with the abundance of creativity in the human spirit. This is exactly what Dhanak 2017 aims to celebrate in its four extensively packed days with the supreme blend of popular surprises, the set that has not been built yet, but is still too old to not be illustrious.
